Had the priviledge of seeing you for the 3rd time yesterday. This time in Houston. Last year twice in San Antonio. I never imagined you and the cast could get better. You are amazing and would love to listen to a soundtrack of you preforming vs. the Broadway I listen to all the time. It is the ultimate to hear little girls at the show talking about Elphaba being "the good witch". What a role model you and your character are for young women! Keep going. I cannot wait to see you and the show a 4th time.

Hi Donna,
I hope your last few days on the Wicked tour are wicked fun! I saw you in Kentucky and I was mesmerized. You were BRILLIANT! I hope that whatever you do next, you'll continue to inspire people like you inspired me.
I had a question. Do you have to be between certain ages to be in Wicked? Like how young could you be if you were in it and how old? And how do you know when there's an opening in the Wicked family?
Your BIGGEST Fan,
Katie

Hi Donna!
You were the first Elphaba I saw in Wicked! I saw you in San Antonio on June 26th last year. That night changed me (for good) and you inspired me to dream again and go back to music. It sounds corny but its true! I made my family drive me up to see you in Dallas on June 18th so they could see how awesome you are. They were very impressed (seriously BEST NO GOOD DEED I'VE EVER HEARD and that last note in defying gravity!!! AMAZING. ) I meant to tell you this after the show but I knew you were busy. You made my day because when we got to go backstage before the show you were standing right there looking at the board I think and I was whispering to my family "that's Donna!" I don't think you noticed but it made me happy anyway! I was the one (among many) after the show who took a picture with you and my mom's camera on her phone wouldn't work. I was like "it's okay mom" because there was an awkward silence...kinda funny Thank you for making that night so special for me. I've been trying to get my mom to get tickets for your last show. "You've seen her twice already, Toni!" I'll keep trying Oh yeah I have shoulder issues too (from volleyball) and I know it really really REALLY hurts. Please stay healthy for your last few shows and have a great time! Thank you for sharing your awesome talent and for inspiring me at a time when I need it in my life. If you could, please respond. It would mean a lot to me.
Your hugest fan,
ToniMerie

I'm glad you will or did enjoy the letter I sent! Is it true that Marissa Lupp took over from Chandra? It can't be because I was looking forward to seeing her in Boston with Jackie hopefully if she was still doing the run! What happened to her? Did she get injured or something urgent came? Tell Her I hope she's okay and hope to see her if she comes to Boston!

Your fabulous!!! I'm so grateful I got to see you as Elphie =] You are truly amazing! I was in awe the entire time I was watching you perform. I'm still a little sad Chandra wasn't Glinda that day but Marissa was great! =] Do you by any chance know whose taking over the role when you leave???

Donna,
I'm very confused on how you find out that there's an opening in the WIcked production and how much experience you need to have to do it. So how do you know and how do you start?
Please respond,
Katie

We drove from El Paso, TX to Dallas, TX (about 8 to 10 hours) just to see Wicked. It was worth it! I thought you were amazing! My eight-year-old was singing Defying Gravity for days! We were close to the stage, and her face was so funny when you "flew!" Thanks for making it worth the drive! We were there June 9th.

I am trying to figure out who performed as Elphaba on Saturday night in Dallas. I didn't see any changes in the program but after looking on your FB page it looks like you were out from an injury. Was it you or Mariand?
Thanks!

You are amazing. Whatever you do after Wicked will be supported by your fans. When I think of you(not to sound creepy!) I think of talent, amazingness, kindness, and every good thing that could possibly be thought! I just wanted to tell you that I look up to you. If I had to choose the person who has inspired me most, you would be #2 (after parents:) ). You have inspired me to go into acting(possibly). I'm the girl who asked about the law thing awhile ago and I still remember what you said to me. Thank you Donna Vivino. I mean it from my heart.
Heal quickly and God Bless,
Rachel
ps. I signed up to do this dancing thing for my churchs vacation bible school and I "performed" today. This has been the first time I've EVER done something like this! I thought of you and your courage when I was up there. Thank you !!!!

I know that in the future, whatever you do, you will continue to inspire people like you have inspired me. Don't doubt yourself because you are SOOO talented. I might sound cheesy, but it's true.

Hi Donna, heard you re-injured yourself:( I feel really really bad for you! I hope this doesn't turn into an "idina situation" where you can't perform your last shows! I'll be praying for you...
Just remember, whatever happens is meant to be :)

Hi Donna, I am sad to hear that you are leaving the show and wish you luck in whatever you do next. I was wondering if you would ever reprise the role on broadway some day. You are truly an amazing actress and one of the best elphabas of all time!!!

Hi Donna,
I was wondering if you respond to the fan letters that people send you. I have written a couple, and I can honestly say that I would be heart-broken if you don't.
Hope your shoulder feels better soon!
Yours truly,
Katie
P.S. Green is DEFINITELY your color
Donna Friday, July 9, 2010 06:14
I will get to all of the letters eventually. Thank you so much for being patient. It's been a very hectic few weeks and now I am a taking a long vacation away from computers and cell phones and what-not but I will certainly get back to everyone soon. Thank you for writing and being so supportive and kind. xo

Just wanted to share something ith you to hopefully encourage you and cheer you up!
I was already a fan of the show and had seen it twice before seeing you for the first time in Denver (from the 7th row) on Halloween last year. But after that performance I was an even bigger fan of the show and a fan of yours for the way you brought Elphaba to life for me. All of your fans know that you have powerful and clear and pure vocals, but there were also other subtleties and nuances in your delivery and development of Elphaba that really just touched my heart, as I have related to Elphaba on a lot of levels myself. I was just blown away. When you get back to NYC and get to sifting through all of your fan mail, you will find a piece from me (and I REALLY hope it doesn't come across too corny :) )that also describes this. As a result of how much I was touched by and enjoyed that show, I saw it once more in Denver with friends and then traveled to Tampa to see it with my brother and his partner, and then to Rochester where I grew up to see it with a high school friend whom I had lost touch with until recently. So, indirectly, you influenced and inspired me to be able to reconnect with friends and family through the show. It has meant more than you can know. I hope you find some cheer and encouragement from this, and I continue to pray for a quick and complete recovery for you.

Hi Donna,
I didn't want to post over on your fan page, but I picked you up some pretzel M&Ms yesterday and have them set to mailed to NYC address, are they going to forward it on to you still if I get it there this week? I hope your injury is on the mend sooner than later. Kudos to you dealing with the pain and still trying to perform these last shows. Hopefully with travel days coming up, it will help you. All the best, wish I had gotten the chance to see your Elphie, can't wait to see what the future holds for you.

Hey Donna quick question
Are there any good restaurants within walking distance of the Music Hall? The only time I'm ever in Dallas is when I go to six flags so I'm not familiar with the area lol
Thanks in advance and I can't wait to see the show Sunday!!! =]
Break a leg!!! =]
